The Office of Housing invests in transitional and permanent supportive housing that gives individuals and families a safe, stable place to live while they work toward permanent housing. These investments strengthen the housing continuum, filling the gap between emergency shelter and long-term affordability, and provide residents with the time and support they need to rebuild their lives.

About the Project:
The Office of Housing is supporting Bernalillo county to transform the former Comfort Inn near Central Avenue and Eubank Boulevard into 84 units of transitional housing for individuals and families moving out of homelessness.
Once operational, the project will include on-site case management, behavioral-health and recovery services, and connections to employment and permanent housing programs.
The state’s investment is supporting the property purchase and renovation.

Units: 50 transitional housing units
About the Project:
Amador Crossing will provide 50 new apartments for individuals and families moving out of homelessness or housing instability. The two-story building will feature efficiency and one-bedroom units, including ADA-accessible options, and will include on-site case management and behavioral health supports to help residents transition into permanent stability.
Life Link Transitional Housing

About the Project:
The Office of Housing is supporting The Life Link in offering safe, stable transitional housing for individuals recovering from human trafficking. This housing provides a secure place for survivors to rebuild their lives while accessing coordinated services that center safety, healing, and long-term stability. The investment supports housing operations as well as the administrative and staffing capacity needed to provide responsive, confidential, survivor-focused care.
Silver City – Cornerstone Apartments

About the Project:
Cornerstone Apartments will create 30 permanent supportive housing units in Silver City for people with extremely low incomes who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The new development will combine affordable housing, rental assistance, on-site supportive services, and community amenities to help residents maintain long-term stability.
