The State of New Mexico’s Office of Housing is making strategic investments in housing construction projects across the state to expand access to safe, affordable homes for New Mexicans at every income level. Through partnerships with local governments and housing developers, these projects are creating and preserving thousands of affordable units, building stronger, more resilient communities statewide.

Bernalillo County and Albuquerque Housing Construction Projects

As part of the state’s coordinated $120 million investment in housing and homelessness solutions, the Office of Housing is partnering with Bernalillo County to deliver six new housing developments totaling 710 units. These projects range from deeply affordable housing to mixed-income communities that will remain accessible for decades.

City of Las Cruces Housing Construction Projects

In southern New Mexico, the Office of Housing is working with the City of Las Cruces to launch five new housing developments adding 358 homes for families, seniors, and first-time homebuyers. These investments are expanding affordable and attainable housing opportunities in one of New Mexico’s fastest-growing regions.

Housing Construction Investments Across the State

The Office of Housing supports communities in every region of New Mexico. Through partnerships with local governments, housing developers, and community organizations, the state invests in projects that expand affordability, preserve existing homes, and strengthen the housing supply in both urban and rural areas.
